The Egyptian Union of Young Human Rights Organizations (Young Organizations Network) is an independent non-governmental and non-profit institution seeking to spread and support a culture of human rights in addition to achieve a comprehensive development in the Egyptian society through its activities and programs. The Network believes the principle of equality and non-discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color or sex between members of the community in rights and duties. Union’s membership is granted to young organizations working in the field of human rights.

Our mission:
In an important and historic initiative, a number of Egyptian human rights organizations agreed on the establishment of a union between young human rights organizations. The purpose of establishing this union is to support the system of Egyptian civil society through enhancing the concept of partnership between the organizations members of the Union.

The Union received the resolution of to endorse the report of the South African Judge Richard Goldstone on the war by Israel on the Gaza Strip during December 2008, particularly with regard to referring the case to the ICC pursuant to limit the policy of impunity.

Founding Members
YON Founding Member - TCHR is a non profit civil firm established in 2009, based on a set of principles and ethics, the most important of which are: Respect of human rights, values and principles, Democracy represents one of integral and inevitable values and principles, transparency and gender equality. El Hak (Truth) Center for Democracy and Human Rights is a non-profit civil firm working in the field of democracy and human rights. The Center was established in October 2007 as a direct result of the founders of the Center's participation in the program of "new generation" the Freedom House Organization (USA). Furthermore, the center seeks to consolidate the concepts of democracy, tolerance and acceptance of others as well as assistance in creating new generations of lawyers and journalists who are able to command and control of the process of democratic transformation in Egypt. The Center participated in many activities during the past year, as it has organized 6 workshops for journalists in Monoufia, Dakahliya and Damietta, in the framework of the project of building the capacity of young journalists funded by the (NED) Foundation. In addition Mr. Shadi Amin (the center’s director) participated in monitoring the last U.S. presidential elections in November 2008 in collaboration with the International Republican Institute
Cairo Center for Development of Civil Society is a new civil non-governmental organization (NGO), working in the field of development, human rights, international law and democracy. The Center focuses mainly on narrowing the qualitative gap between men and women, and getting to know each individual the concepts and conventions on human rights. The Center adopts in its work the idea of public training, focusing on the most vulnerable groups such as women, children, refugees, the disabled and prisoners. It is worth mentioning that the Center has served as a member of the board of directors of the Arab-European Center for Human Rights. HCSHRD is concerned with backing human rights' defenders. This is tangible by the legal and technical supporting it offers, the campaigns it organizes and the relevant researches and studies it prepares. HCSHRD was established in 2008 as a law firm according to the law of the Egyptian Bar. It is located in Cairo, Egypt.
